How will your uniqueness benefit our meeting?
"Right now people are looking for solutions to recover, and I can give them that. I can give them practical, solid, step-by-step solutions that they can take back to their companies and implement immediately. The impact is immediately felt. The results are long-lasting. And best of all, it makes them appreciative that they are part of your group. I want them to be drawn closer to your group by having you book me for your meeting."
What is the best type of audience for your programs?
"I connect well with CEO's, senior level executives, mid-level managers, sales people, and other professionals. Both my topic and the way I deliver it fits within what they want in a speaker. I've bombed in front of blue collar groups and laborers, so please don't embarrass either one of us and have me speak to that type of crowd. I just don't connect well with them."
What is the best place in our convention for your presentation?
"Daytime or early evening. Not after dinner when people are tipsy, but when they are in 'business-mode'. I'm a business speaker with personality, not a humorist nor an entertainer. I'm an expert who speaks on the topic of resilience and bouncing back."
How do you get to meetings?
"I live in Asheville, NC and fly out of either Asheville (AVL), Greenville/Spartanburg SC (GSP), or sometimes it's convenient for me to fly out of Charlotte (CLT) depending on my travel schedule. If it's four hours or less driving distance (like Atlanta or Raleigh), I prefer to drive."
What are your audio/visual needs?
"I may use power point to add value to the presentations, so I will bring my presentation with me and will assume that you will have a laptop or projector. I carry a laptop with me at all times just in case though. With my power point visuals, I don't bore people with slides filled with text. I use photos and short snapshots of verbiage to add value to the presentation. Most of my presentations have been just me and the audience, and tha'ts it, so if you don't have a screen and projector, I can work well with that also. I prefer a lavalier microphone. I also like to interact with the audience. I'll go out to the stage and shake their hands and touch them on the shoulder while I'm giving my presentation (if possible). I also prefer 100 percent house lighting since that adds energy to the group but am fine if your convention has a brightly lit stage with a dark room."
What else can you tell us about yourself?
"I am not high maintenance and am easy to work with. I'm not a prima donna. I'm very approachable and am at your service. It's your meeting, not mine. I am here to serve you and your audience, to impact them and to make you look like the hero of the meeting."
